HAPPY NEW YEAR 2012!!

Happy New Year!!!

I really can't believe it is 2012. Where oh where has the time gone??? As I sat and reflected on life during the past year, I caught myself going back many years, focusing on present time and looking ahead. Kirstyn is 18 and a senior in high school. She has a job and is planning for college soon. I couldn't be more proud of her and all she has done as a young lady. When Kirstyn was little it seemed like she would be little forever. I miss those days of my little Kirstyn. Jump to present time.....I have 2 beautiful grand daughters! WOW! I am a GRANDMA! Some days that sounds so funny to me but I LOVE being grammie and wouldn't change it for anything. I am very proud of our son and his beautiful wife. They are preparing for a new and exciting chapter in their life.....home ownership. YAY!!! I can't wait to see them all moved in and help out with any projects. Looking into 2012 and thinking of all the things coming our way, I quickly realized in six short weeks, Kaitlyn will turn 14. Again, she was just so little....ok she is still little as many of you know, but that isn't what I am talking about this time. I am so proud of Kaitlyn and all of her hard work with school. This next school year will be a big one as I will have a freshman in high school and a freshman in college. Holy smokes!!! I rarely feel old (not that I am old) but there are rare occasions when it hits me, I am getting old.

So many things to look forward to in 2012..... This is going to be a good year!!

Life has been so good to me and I thank GOD for all my blessings each and every day.

Family Picture Time

Ed was home in mid-December for R&R. We were able to take some family photos and I couldn't be happier with the way they turned out.

Love these girls!

I am loving my new status as a Grandma. These girls make my heart so happy!!!

Puppies Puppies Puppies

Well, not three puppies but we did get two puppies. They are the most amazing dogs and I love them so much. This is a change for us as we have been a Golden Retriever family for 18 years and now we a family of Miniature Australian Shepherds. YAY!!!

Here is Mozzie

Here is Stella (we usually call her Stella Bella)

The pair of them are quite the trouble makers at times. Love them both!

WOW!!! It has been way too long!

I have always enjoyed blogging even if no one was reading my blog. September & October were two difficult months for me as I was faced with the hard decision of what to do with with my scrapbook site. I had only purchased the site a short time before this but found the site struggling and losing members at a higher rate than I anticipated. I found myself feeling betrayed by ladies who claimed to be my friends but in all honesty, were not my real friends. I closed the site, deleted my blog, and retreated from the internet for a short time. I was able to reflect on what is really important to me and I am much more grounded as a result. All things happen for a reason and closing the site was no different.

In other news.....

We have a friend. This friend has a Mini Australian Shepard. The Mini Australian Shepard had puppies approximately 3 weeks ago. We were not going to get another dog after having to put Koda down; however, we really are dog people and here we are looking at puppies. Heehee!! Looks like we will be getting a puppy from my friend once they are old enough and ready to leave the momma.
